What is a "Tradition"?
A denomination within Paganism as a whole, or within a specific path. For example, Northern Tradition can refer to the Northern Paths as a whole, or to a specific path within the Northern collection of belief systems (such as Asatru, Heathenry, or Odinism). Wicca is another Tradition, within which there are various independent Traditions.
Axiom.
What is a "Solitary"?
A 'solitary' practitioner is someone outside of a group. S/he may learn from others, occasionally or regularly join in on rituals, and teach students. S/he may be eclectic or identify with a specific Tradition. But s/he is not a practicing, paticipatory member of a group, coven, grove, kindred, etc.
Axiom.
What does "Eclectic Pagan" mean?
An eclectic, a true eclectic, is one who studies a variety of paths and disciplines, including non-Pagan specific ones at times. S/he draws from Paganism and spirituality in general to create a personal belief and practice. S/he has chosen, after studying the different paths that attracted him/her, to not dedicate to one in particular. This is different to the dilettante who dabbles in everything and knows nothing.
