"I attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA seeking my B.F.A. in metalsmithing and jewelry design. Working with a wide variety of materials that include various precious metals, rare woods, found objects, semi-precious stones and fibers, I have created beautiful wearable works of art for a varied clientele.
Inspired by the natural world - how plants grow, the treasures of the ocean, the ground beneath our feet, these are the things that give life to my concepts. I am currently exploring how to combine knitting techniques and wire wrapping with those of metalsmithing to create unique pieces that maintain a connection with the organic. Through my work I strive to communicate the beauty in nature through simple lines and forms.
Each piece I create is handcrafted. Though I work from sketches, no piece is ever exactly like a sketch or another piece; they may vary in form, color, stones or materials. As I work the metal it gains a life of its own - moving beneath my hands and tools, telling me what form it wants to take. You are guaranteed a unique piece everytime."
